POP POP POP... POP POP

Sound heard from Floyd Bennet Field, but Floyd Bennet Field has been closed for years!

In the parking lot of Floyd Bennet Field sits a red four-door Jaguar, with the driver's side door open. The body of a man, riddled with bullets, was slumped over the steering wheel of the Jaguar. As the blood drips from his body onto the seat and out the door, the dying man is weeping and wondering how he got here. Sirens are heard coming from a distance. He knows they are coming for him.

Who is this man and why is he here? To his friends and associates he is known as Joey O. As his life flashes in front of him, he thinks of his children and the reason why he is here. Two years before, his life took a turn for the worse. He was once a well-respected man to the people of the streets, but over time, he became a degenerate gambler, since he could not support his family and girlfriends on his own income. To maintain his opulent lifestyle, he started cheating the people that he worked with.

The hustle and bustle of cops with their guns drawn, along with the EMTs trying to keep him alive, created a hectic scene. There was arguing between the EMTs and the cops, over questioning him versus the EMTs trying to save his life. As the cops were trying to question him, the EMTs were putting him on a gurney to rush him to the hospital. He was slipping in and out of consciousness while all this was going on.

As they got to the Emergency Room, a Priest is called down to give him his last rights. As his last rights were administered, he gave his deathbed testimony to the police officers who were there. He says he was there to meet "Steve" to collect money. They asked him if he saw Steve and he said yes. He said he had dark hair and a mustache. "Did you ever see this person, 'Steve' before? a cop asked, and he said no. They asked him if he recognized the person that shot him, and he said no. The police asked him if he knew if this person's name was really "Steve" or not, and Joey O answered no. He then lost consciousness and could not be saved. He dies in the Emergency Room.
